I will be honest with you here.
I promise you, this is not sarcastic.
I love the Step Up Movies. Especially “Step Up 3D”. I had the privileged of seeing it in the theaters, in 3D and could barely contain myself. I have the music in me, you see?
I wrote a rather favorable review and my editor at the time called me to verify that I was serious. I was. Many yelled at me. It was a serious issue. I wrote a disclaimer stating that I am biased and all I’m saying is that these are shining examples of the genre. These are good dance movies.
While the plots for each of these films are predictable and can induce massive rolling of the eyes, they have an innocence about them that I’m a sucker for.
I mean, watch this and tell me it isn’t amazing:
Now the 4th in the series is on the way, in 3D and, judging from the trailer, it will be more of the same goodness. while there is no Channing Tatum, Moose makes an appearance and I’ll take some Moose pop n lock over Channing’s B-Boy moves any day. Like, yo and for reals.
